The Stables Motel is proudly locally owned by people with strong local roots and real motelling experience, who believe in Bulls and the Rangitikei — because this special part of New Zealand deserves accommodation to match: welcoming, comfortable, and thoughtfully done.

The Stables Motel offers 15 well-appointed units, including accessible disability-friendly accommodation, three one-bedroom units that can connect with adjoining studios, and flexible twin-share options - ideal for families, groups, or colleagues travelling together.

We also offer three dedicated motorhome sites with dump station, plus access to a Guest Kitchen, BBQ area, complimentary laundry facilities, shared bathrooms and reliable WiFi.

Cancellation Policy

BOOKINGS – WHO’S STAYING THE NIGHT
You must be 18 years or older to make a booking.
Anyone under 18 needs to be accompanied by a
parent or guardian.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

INDIVIDUAL BOOKINGS – JUST YOU AND
YOURS
(One room only)
• Cancel more than 48 hours before check-in: no
charge.
• Cancel within 48 hours: one night may be
charged if we can’t re-let the room.
• No-show (after 6pm without notice): one night’s
stay will be charged.

GROUP BOOKINGS – THE MORE THE MERRIER
(Two or more rooms)
• Cancel more than 28 days out: no charge.
• Cancel within 28 days: charges may apply if
rooms can’t be re-let.

EVENT BOOKINGS – WHEN BULLS IS BUZZING
• $100 per room per night deposit required.
• Cancel within 14 days is non-refundable.

CHANGES – WE’LL DO OUR BEST
Need to shift your dates? No worries—we’ll try to
accommodate if we can.
• Individual bookings: please give 48 hours notice.
• Group bookings: 28 days notice.
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT – THE INS AND OUTS
• Check-in: from 2pm
• Check-out: by 10am
Early arrivals or late departures? Just ask—if we can
make it work, we will.

VISITORS – MATES OF MATES
Visitors are welcome—but not after 10pm.
You’re responsible for anyone you invite onto the
property.

SMOKING & VAPING – TAKE IT OUTSIDE
No smoking or vaping in or around the rooms—full
stop. We’ve got a designated spot for that – by the
BBQ outdoor area.
Cheers for being a legend and keeping it fresh for
everyone. If rule’s are ignored, cleaning and loss-of income charges will apply (minimum $350).

FIRE ALARMS – DON’T TEST YOUR LUCK
Fire alarms are there for emergencies, not
experiments.
If one is set off unnecessarily, the cost of callouts,
repairs, or replacements will be charged to the
person who made the booking.

DAMAGE & BEHAVIOUR – PLAY NICE
You’re responsible for your room and anyone with
you.
Any damage, excessive mess, or behaviour that
affects other guests may result in charges.
